People’s Memorial Association (PMA), in partnership with the nonprofit Death Over Dinner (DOD), will host an evening of open, authentic conversations around death and dying on one single night on October 27th across three award-winning Seattle-area restaurants.

How we end our lives constitutes the most important and costly conversation Americans aren’t having. People’s Memorial Association, the Seattle-based members' advocacy group and thought-leader for funeral choice and education in Washington State, and Death Over Dinner, the nonprofit movement helping facilitate open conversations about death around the dinner table, share a common mission: to remove the taboo surrounding death so that people are prepared to make meaningful and affordable end-of-life decisions that empower their loved ones to execute their wishes.

Guided by the Death Over Dinner conversation script that supplies diners with thoughtful questions to ponder and discuss, diners will have the opportunity to speak authentically with other guests about significant end-of-life questions and to hear from a thought-leader in the death field, as well as a representative from PMA and DOD, and the hosting chef.

The dinner table is the most forgiving place for a difficult conversation, where the ritual of breaking bread creates warmth and connection and puts us more in touch with our humanity. Please join us in transforming the way we think and talk about death and take the first step towards a more fulfilling end-of-life experience.
